It is an essential tool for wildland firefighters who keep a physical copy either in their back pocket or web gear.
Key Features:
- Search: The IRPG is now fully searchable, allowing users to search not just titles but the entire text of each page for quicker access to needed information.
- Bookmarks: Easily bookmark any chapter in the guide with a single tap for rapid reference in the Bookmarks tab, eliminating the need for dog-earing pages or searching for specific content like typing charts or weather tables.
- Notes: Take notes directly within the IRPG without the need for a physical pen. Your notes are saved within the app for future reference.
- Checklists: Access selectable checklists for essential radio traffic, including size-up reports and medical incident reports (8-lines), enabling you to mark topics as you communicate over the radio efficiently.
- Weather: Utilize your phone's GPS to send precise lat/long coordinates along with belt weather kit measurements via SMS or iMessage to relevant personnel like your STL, DIV, or lookout.
- Speed: The app is optimized for speed, ensuring quick access to necessary information when compared to using a physical copy.
